Long, healthy, and shiny hair! It's a dream many of us share. But between that dream and reality, there's often a disconnect, leading to the common misconception that kinky and coily hair doesn't grow. That's simply not true! Your hair *does* grow! The real challenge is breakage, especially at the ends, which gives the impression of stagnant length. With winter just around the corner, here are some essential tips to combat breakage and retain your precious length!
1 - If your ends are damaged, don't hesitate to cut them for healthier hair, either yourself, or if you're lazy or afraid of making a mistake, go to the hairdresser!
2 - When conditioning, focus on the ends! Do not completely rinse the solution from the ends to prevent them from drying out too quickly after drying!
3 -This winter, to maintain length, use the "Baggy Method" 2 to 3 times a week.
4 - WARNING, your hair is fragile, brushes do not glide through kinky hair, you must stop the damage! Gently brush your hair from the ends towards the roots. STOP EVERYTHING if you encounter a knot, and detangle with your fingers!
5 - Adopt a protective hairstyle! Vanilles, braids, extensions...Just be careful not to pull too tight at the roots and temples, and of course, continue your hair routine, your hair must remain hydrated!
6 - Protect your hair at night! Sleep with a satin bonnet or on a satin pillowcase.
7 - Limit straightening and blow-drying as much as possible (at least twice a year), use specific products to protect hair from heat.
Take care of yourself!
